TrueNorth Empowers MSSU Student Athletes with Financial Knowledge
Investing in our community goes beyond wealth management. We’re committed to empowering individuals by sharing financial knowledge that could help them now, or in the future. On February 5, our Founding Partner, Bryan Vowels, CFP®, CFA®, and newest advisor, Connor Williamson, had the privilege of presenting at Missouri Southern State University. While there, Bryan and Connor spoke to student athletes eager to learn about navigating their financial futures.
The event centered around equipping students with practical tools for managing real-world financial challenges. Bryan addressed three key, requested topics from the students, including budgeting, credit card debt, and 401k planning. He highlighted the importance of saving now and taking advantage of compound interest.
For many in the room, this was their first introduction to concepts like investing in a Roth IRA or the benefits of retirement planning. As student athletes, their demanding schedules often leave little time to focus on their financial futures.
At TrueNorth, we believe that financial literacy is important to creating brighter futures. Opportunities like this allow us to connect with our community, share our knowledge, and support individuals at all stages of life in their financial journey.
We’re grateful to the MSSU community for hosting us and look forward to many more moments like this. If you’d like to learn more about our services or discuss an upcoming event you would like us to speak at, please reach out to us.
